Spring Washer, Standard Type — Product Introduction
The standard spring washer (GB/T 93) is a split, spirally offset elastic washer. It utilizes the axial force generated through elastic deformation to prevent bolts and nuts from loosening under vibration or alternating loads. These washers are typically made from spring steel such as 65Mn, 70 steel, or 60Si2Mn, and after quenching and tempering, the hardness is generally controlled within the range of HRC 42–50. Common surface treatments include blackening, phosphating, and zinc plating to improve corrosion resistance. Standard spring washers cover specifications from M2 to M48 and are widely used in various threaded connections requiring anti-loosening performance.
I. Product Features
- Split offset structure: The washer has a slit and is staggered up and down; once installed, it generates elastic reaction force to provide anti-loosening performance.
- Excellent elasticity: Made from spring steel, it has good elastic recovery capability and can maintain clamping force over the long term.
- Moderate hardness: After heat treatment, hardness is controlled at HRC 42–50, ensuring effective anti-loosening while avoiding damage to the surfaces of connected parts.
- Unified standard: Conforms to GB/T 93 standard with clear dimensional and performance requirements, offering good interchangeability.
- Diverse surface treatments: Available with blackening, phosphating, zinc plating, and other surface treatments to suit different environmental requirements.
- Complete specifications: Covering M2 to M48 and other thread specifications to meet various bolt matching needs.
II. Product Advantages
- Effective anti-loosening: Elastic reaction force increases friction between threaded pairs, significantly reducing bolt and nut loosening under vibration.
- Simple structure, low cost: Mature manufacturing process with low price — one of the most widely used anti-loosening washers.
- Easy installation: Simply placed over the bolt or screw — no special tools or additional steps required.
- Strong versatility: Compatible with ordinary hexagonal bolts, nuts, screws, and other fasteners — broad range of applications.
- Reliable performance: In general vibration and light-load conditions, anti-loosening effect is stable and meets the requirements of most mechanical equipment.
- Easy procurement and replacement: Standardized production ensures ample market supply and convenient replacement.
III. Application Scope
- Mechanical equipment: Anti-loosening bolt connections in machine tools, reducers, pumps, fans, and other equipment.
- Automotive industry: Vibration-resistant connections in vehicle chassis, engine accessories, and body components.
- Electronics and appliances: Screw anti-loosening in household appliances, instruments, and control cabinets.
- Architectural hardware: Anti-loosening metal structures in doors, windows, railings, brackets, and curtain wall connections.
- Rail transit: Connections in areas with significant vibration such as vehicle interior equipment and rail fittings.
- Other general industries: Wherever low-cost, easy-to-install threaded connections with anti-loosening requirements are needed, standard spring washers can be applied.
