External Tab Washer — Product Introduction
The external tab washer is manufactured according to standard GB/T 856—1988 and consists of the washer body, an inner tongue, and an outer tongue. In use, the inner tongue inserts into the shaft groove and the outer tongue bends and locks into the slot on the outer circumference of the round nut, forming a dual mechanical lock that effectively prevents the nut from loosening under vibration and impact. The product has a compact structure and convenient installation, suitable for anti-loosening connections where the round nut’s outer circumference is slotted.
I. Product Features
- Standard structure: Dimensions conform to GB/T 856—1988, with good compatibility with standard round nuts and strong interchangeability.
- Outer tongue design: The outer tongue bends and locks into the slot on the outer circumference of the round nut, providing accurate positioning and reliable locking.
- One-piece forming: The washer body, inner tongue, and outer tongue are formed in a single stamping operation with no weld points, giving excellent overall strength.
- Easy bending: The outer and inner tongues are convenient to bend and straighten on site, allowing flexible installation and removal.

II. Product Advantages

III. Application Areas
The external tab washer is widely used at the anti-loosening locations of shaft ends where the round nut’s outer circumference is slotted, including:
